  2. Hey all, Yeah, I think I would consider myself a problem gambler. Or at least a "borderline" one - if one could say that.. I would say that because I've never been in debt by gambling. I've managed so far to play with money that I can afford, which is an important thing I guess. But.. Apart from money lost, there's the psychological part that's what does the most damage. Even if we play extremely low amounts of money, the most important thing is to manage to regulate the amount of TIME we give into gambling. It's no different than being addicted to a game for example (League of Legends, etc).. I don't give any money there, but the time consumed can be the same, with the same psychological impact.. What usually gets me really down - even when I'm winning, is the fact that I feel the need to keep my gambling activity a secret. That's a strong sign for a problem gambler. My wife will come home and I'll be all sneaky about it, creating a very bad atmosphere. All this happens for that damn RUSH we all feel when that 3.5x appears 5 times in a row, or when we wait for the balance to go up and the gambling session is about to start.. But, everything in life is about keeping a balance and everything we do more than we should, we must do our best to moderate it. There are a lot of signs that would tell that someone could be a problem gambler and should not be discarded easily.. Bad situations in gambling can escalate extremely quickly and we should always be aware. I personally had sought professional help in the past that has at least made me self-aware of my situation... I very often need to completely stop gambling for a period of time - take a long break and focus on other stuff in life. Usually to do that, I need to block myself from gambling activity on the internet.. But lately, I've found ways to unblock me very very easily (multi-accounting in crypto, etc - while sport gambling with KYC is easier to be self-blocked) - so.... I need to find a way to have my account active AND keep my self-control.. in control! This is the first time I try this approach and being social in this forum is a way to at least try not be "sneaky" digitally, if that makes sense. Currently, I'm on a spot that I have a holiday trip coming up after the New Year, so I wanna try and not do anything stupid until then. Going away for those days will help me keep away (I hope... damn you mobile stake being awesome ) and come back fresh. I wish everyone a happy new year and the best of LUCK
  3. Hey! I totally get you - fellow addict here Breaks are the most important part of us trying to make this addiction at first into something bearable and ultimately fun as gambling should only be! If you don't take a break and continue greed on your winning you'll always end up busting. The key is to try and make a goal for each day, or at least a "session" If you reach that goal, that's it - end the session, better yet end the DAY and do other stuff on that happy feeling of win. Now... That's the easy one... The hard one is to not over-depo when losing to recover. That's the most hard for me that I can never achieve and end up hard-quitting for months just to get away Never spent more than couple hours a day, more than couple days a week - and never ever play more than you can lose. Always keep in mind that if you gamble, you'll end up losing some money in the end - make sure you can afford to lose that money and try make it fun

    Hi stake

Of course! This is my first time ever getting social - previous bans were self-inflicted through support so I couldn't have access anymore on purpose BTW, would be an awesome feature for Stake to have: Self limit, timeout, wager limit, etc. Stuff that the players can apply to themselves in order to take a break. Self-banning is also effective but also so ultimate.. Best of luck to you guys too and thanks for the welcome!
  5. Favorite game the mines - the reason I'm hooked to stake My personal routine is to go with 5 mines and begin with 3 diamonds which give a little less than 2x As long as I make a good run, I start going for 5 diamonds (~3.6x) and always in a row because it looks beautiful If I hit a nice streak of 5,6 I'm happy, otherwise I end up all-in-ing in Crash for 10x 😂

    Hi stake

Hey all - long time staker with multi-accounts that I end up self-banning/lockout to restrict myself from losing all my savings This time thought I introduce myself and try a different approach of self-control. For example, last Saturday sat around with Eddie's stream and had proper FUN, instead of unhealthy endless losing trying to recover the unrecoverable. My goal is to avoid my addiction but also have the fun I can out of it, because it's possible. Maybe getting social in the forum can help out - maybe not will see Either way, nice to meet you all!
