Many have give answers of three main websites i have seen and as being a person who used these sites in the past :

  • Paxful : A very good site and very new modern style interface and user friendly too ! Only con is the fees it's higher than LocalBitcoins.
  • Coinbase : A good site for trading as well as using as a wallet only problem is GDAX is limited to a few countries and it require bank linking.
  • LocalBitcoins : A good site with a good interface but it might be hard for first time newbies to the crypto world to trade in.

Paypal is a bit tricky.

They prioritise customers like you & I through their ‘Buyer’s Policy’ which in most cases, guarantees a charge-back/refund on any item/order placed for a multitude of reasons.

Naturally, it’s easy to imagine how difficult it is for any company/end-user to consider accepting Paypal as payment as it represents such a high level of risk.

Of course, there are still people willing to accept it as payment through P2P trading websites (e.g. local*** etc.) but not without their own terms - selling at higher prices;trading with verified users only;requiring document identification; have certain no. of trades... the list goes on.

Assuming you are fine with the borderline-negative terms laid out by both the trader/escrow, you are then cordially invited to trade with the opposite party!

Phew, that was a drawn out reply.

P.S. If you’re still deciding to go ahead with Paypal, please do not make the same mistakes I made & read everything carefully before making any transactions - lest you lose out even more or make the worst mistake (like I did) and not qualify to make the trade, resulting in a pointless deposit to the escrow website. Good luck! 😎

Paypal is only accepted in LocalBitcoins from most traders only if :

You are a verified Paypal member

Your account has a credit card linked or bank account

Your profile is complete

Your localbitcoins profile is fully verified ie ; Passport , ID etc.

I don't think PayPal want their users to use their service to trade crypto, so I have never used my PayPal account to buy crypto. The easiest way to buy crypto is just to sign up at your local exchange and then use your credit card or a bank transfer to buy crypto with.

your best bet is to withdraw crypto to debit card

Crypto debit card ? Those things are limited to certain regions and are not available everywhere , also the companies who provided these are starting to retract their services due to big problems in terms of funds.

I never knew that PayPal could be used to buy ex: Bitcoin. I use Bitbuy.ca which is a site

in Canada. Not sure if they have that option though. Good luck friend. 😎

Hey!

Just wanted to ask for some ways to buy crypto with paypal.

LocalBitcoins and a few other similar websites that work based on peer to peer trading will probably be your best bet.

The only problem the sellers have with using PayPal is how unsafe it is for them due to buyer’s protection.

Due to a higher risk, this results in either lower rates as compared to other ways of payment OR a stringent requirement for identity documents to prevent a chargeback situation.

Have you checked Coinbase so far? https://www.coinbase.com/

It provides you some specific crypto currencies where you can buy, sell or even exchange between them (if i recall correctly) with some fees according to countries.

It also offers you Pay Pal of course as requested in this topic, Bank transaction and direct Credit / Debit card transactions.

You also need to be verified, don't forget that ;)

Personally I recommend Local bitcoin. Its easy to use site and its legal and fast paying. Some time ago there was a very nice site to buy crypto with paypal (www.wesellcrypto.com) but something happened to it and it did not start it anymore

Well at the present day, I would still prefer to buy Bitcoin through traders at Localbitcoins. It is to me the most convenient way to acquire and purchase Bitcoins when required. :)
