Skills or Luck?

It is pure skill in my opinion bevause a player needs to know his cards first to win in my opinion. Just a skilled based game is vp.

But , even skills like that requires luck, so, I guess by calculating the odds + cards might give you a better profit at the end.

Knowing the rules is the basic skill on video poker. The rest is pure luck. Management bankroll and base bet might help little tought till you catch royal flush.

Hmmmi never thought about it like that....

cause i was gonna reply with a “lol serisously?” Kind of like comment...

but then i read your reply... very well said... without knowing the rules and winning hand combos... you will lose more often than not

For most winnings, a lot of luck is needed. But without the need for poker skills, players can play quite spectacular profits. Required poker skills are required to know which of the cards you have to keep and, if so, how much profit will you bring to your hand

I think a combination of both in Video Poker.  You should be able to sustain for quite a while if you play smartly.  However, if you're talking about big multiplier wins, it's definitely luck in my opinion....

i guess the question then becomes, is knowing the rules of the game part of being skillful at the game? cause one can argue that if you dont know the rules and play the game.. that is just not really a smart tjhing to do and should be known that without knowing the rules chances of winning goes down progbably maybe

Hi there , First skill, you have to know how to play the cards ,  Second luck , depends on what deck you are in. All in all you need them both ,

Luckily, what I have, I believe that luck brings maximum profit. If you have skills, but you are unlucky, you can still lose a large amount of money in bets.

So what do you think that a player mostly needs to come up profitable when playing Video poker? Is it pure luck or you are actually able to win using your skills? Maybe both? What's your personal opinion?

100% luck, absolutely zero skills. If you are not lucky at Video Poker nothing will help you. For example on HiLo if you are skilled you might even reached 1000x but on Video Poker you need pure luck to get Royal Flush (800x)

I think you need a bit of both. While the game is still random and requires luck to be given a good hand, It requires knowing what cards to hold etc.

I think if you have both you can do very well playing Video Poker, I've made profit using the suggestions that you can enable however. As I don't really know how to play poker :P

I only believe in luck in playing gambling .. whatever the type of game ...

as well as video poker games. there is no special skill in playing video poker .... if someone gambler wins, say he gets a royal flush card ... it's all because of the gambler's luck .. I believe that ... many people are trying to find strategies to Winning in gambling includes video poker games, .. after studying and starting to practice the knowledge he learned, he still finds defeat when betting on video poker games ...
it proves that everything (about gambling) is luck ... 💇💇

I believe there's a little bit of both, because if you didn't have the skill you couldn't know what to do in certain situations and if you didn't have luck you couldn't win anything.

Hey,

I think the Video Poker game is only a luck game. But it’s really hard to win.. My friend lost a lot with Video Poker, and me as well, with like 10 bet

in this case he should lower the bet amount. Of course it's the game of luck, but when you are lucky you can get 8 win bets out of those 10 bets

Like all casino games, 99% of every time we win is just Lucky, of course we often think of some strategies, but most of the time they fail.
I think a good gambler is the one who has the keen sense for the game, like a spider sense hahaha.

No one always getting profit in every game they're played for sure. Actually video poker is easier than another game, in my opinion literally 80% luck and 20% skill. Too dangerouse use martingale there, that's way many player betting flat. If they have skill maybe double or triple it after get long red strike or losing much coin before.

I agree with this.  You have to be able to calculate the odds of a certain outcome based on the cards you are dealt, so there is surely some skill involved.  Actually hitting a certain hand is purely based on the luck considering all of the possible outcomes.
