my gambling addiction popped up when i saw like betting machines and then i was having fun then i was addicted to gambling and lose alot of money and then i slow down my gambling addiction by playing games

and it relaxed now i dont bet alot

just low risk bets

haha but low risk bets are gambling too and eventually will end you busted. There is no other way. That's how gambling works. The only thing that can be done is to walk away when we win. We cannot continue to play. However in your case when you are extremely addicted there is actually only way out of it. Stop playing at all at least for a while and then see how you are doing. Like with every addiction the most difficult thing is to make that first decision to fight it. Then when you walk away and you are away from your addiction every next day is easier than the day before.

Yeah, any way you look at it is still gambling.  And there is no such think as a low risk bet here in my opinion.  I have seen people get rekked by playing "low risk" bets everday.

My gambling addiction began with a Ethereum Crash site about 1.5 years ago. From there I explored several other crash sites before finding stake and realizing it was the place for me. I had made an account on Stake back in 2017 but never played here or on that account until recently when Eddie recovered it for me.

Now I plan to ONLY play on Stake because I just LOVE the benefits I get as a VIP.

Yeah, you gotta be able to set limits and stop otherwise it can be dangerous.

Absolutely true.  It can be very dangerous if you go in without plan and a goal.  Always remember there is help available out there if you cannot get it under control.

Gambling addiction can be ruinous financially so it's good to only play a little at a time. Can't be rich and win forever. Once I was also addicted to baccarat and table games in casino but did not end well 😔

Well recognizing addiction is a very good first step.

Honestly, the best thing to do it to find other ways to pass the time. Addiction fuels the same pleasure receptors in the brain that other enjoyable activities do as well. For me when I first realized I was outplaying my financial means, I decided to instead go hang out with friends and redirect that money into fun activities with them.

But now you definitely don't have to find other activities that require money to do but instead just find something that you find enjoyable and distracting.

If you find yourself not able to turn away from gambling without help, definitely reach out to someone for help.

Even small addictions can become bigger and ruin lives.

Yeah placing low bets to satisfy a gambling addiction is a way to temporarily way to keep in under control without losing too much money, but one day the urge to playing with bigger bets will come and will you be able to stop yourself? The only way to stop an addiction is to understand how one forms in the first place and the warfare between difference chemicals in the brain. Once you are aware of this and are committed you have to go cold turkey and set contingencies in place as you make your way towards recovery.

Anyway, as I was a gambling addict I couldn't resist from big boy bets, just because I thought, what if I profit? And I did not profit a single dime, just because maxbet kills your balance mostly and if you are an addict you wont stop yourself from busting bigger balances, so yes, even if you are able to control yourself into playing low bets congratulations you're out of the stage of losing everything in a casino and you are now curing from being an addicted gambler, I am not now myself, just when I feel like to bust, I do, no matter what, no one will help me with that, just because its my own choice how to manage my balance and bets.

Well I suppose gambling addiction like any other addictions would need sufficient self awareness to actually seek for help from professionals if it is not within your control anymore.

But from there my gambling went out of control and so did something else that affected my physical and mental state. I also feel addicted broo ... Acknowledge your behavior as is. Recognition is the first step in overcoming a problem. If you recognize the symptoms of the problem you have, you can learn to change current behavior.
Signs and symptoms of gambling addiction include: the sensation of taking gambling risks, the increased risk of gambling over time, the fun of gambling, like to remember the success of gambling in the past (through imagination or stories), using gambling as a means of escape from problems or negative feelings, guilt or regret after gambling, and repeatedly failing to stop gambling. [3]
Additional social problems relating to gambling include: reducing work time or being with family to gamble, trying to cover up or lying about gambling, and borrowing money or stealing to be used to gamble. Accept the consequences of gambling. Excessive gambling can cause many problems, including: relationship stretching, financial problems, legal problems, potential job loss, drug use, and mental health problems (such as depression). [5]
Do you reduce work time for gambling? Do you use rent, mortgages or other bills to gamble? Do you use a credit card to gamble? Do you keep your money from using gambling?
Make a list of the consequences for gambling. In addition, identify people who are affected by your gambling addiction, such as family or friends. Understand the risk of gambling. Gamblers will consider the consequences that can occur before starting to gamble if they know the risks that arise due to gambling.
Excessive gambling will result in depression, anxiety, aggression, increased risk of suicide, stretching relationships and stress-related illnesses. [6]
Gambling will also increase your stress levels (due to the hormone cortisol) and heart rate so that your health risks increase.
Addictions and pathology gambling can reduce your ability to make decisions and evaluate the consequences of your actions. Be honest about your gambling. Don't make gambling a secret. Be honest with yourself and others about the amount of money spent on gambling.
When the funds are owned, immediately pay your bills immediately.
Accumulate your losses and see how much money has been spent. By looking at the total losses from gambling, list the items that can be bought with the money, or the debt that can be paid.
Acknowledge to yourself and others that you have gambled.

To find out if you really are addicted to gambling or not, let's look at some of the characteristics of people who are addicted to gambling:

Can't stop. If you only bet occasionally and only seek the pleasure of betting, then you are not addicted to gambling. People who are addicted to gambling try to stop, but in the end they still bet more in hopes of getting more wins.
Bet beyond his ability. Gambling addicts often use more money than they should, sometimes using money for their living needs, education fees for their children, or even borrowing money from other people. This is what causes the danger of gambling addiction. You could end up with an endless loop of debt.
Bet not for fun. If you only bet for fun, like betting using only 10,000 rupiah, then you are not a gambling addict. Gambling addicts bet not for the sake of pleasure, but to eliminate anxiety or forget about problems, but ironically lead to additional problems.
Trying to cover up defeat. If you are addicted to gambling, then every time you lose you will bet back to cover the defeat. They will continue to bet with a bigger amount to cover the previous defeat.
Continue to increase the value of the bet. Gambling or betting addicts will not be satisfied with a small bet value. The longer gambling, gambling addicts will continue to increase the value of the bet in hopes of winning the higher. What he doesn't remember is that the greater the value of the bet, the greater the value that must be borne if you lose.
Excessive effort to make money. If you run out of money, gambling addicts won't stop. He will instead look for ways to earn more money, even with excessive methods. The most extreme ways you can try are to borrow money from moneylenders or steal.
Gambling is a top priority. If you are more concerned with gambling than your family or life, then you are most likely already addicted to gambling. Gambling addicts generally prioritize gambling over their own families. He ignores the activities and education of his child, even usually resulting in broken relations with his family.
Unstable emotion. Although gambling initially gives rise to excitement and triggers your adrenaline, in the end gambling can cause problems. One of them is to influence your emotions due to frustration, late regret, decreased ambition, and the desire to gamble to cover life's problems.

If you feel that you are addicted to gambling, it is not too late to stop it. Try the following ways to overcome your addiction:

Admit your addiction. The first step is to admit that you have a problem. Gambling addiction is like any other addiction, to fix it requires awareness that you have a problem and you want to stop it.
Ask for support from your family and colleagues. A problem cannot be solved alone. The support of family and colleagues can really help you quit your gambling habit. You can also ask for advice and share experiences with other former gambling addicts.
Avoid gambling environments. You can easily return to gambling if you don't avoid the gambling environment. Gambling is a temptation that easily affects you, so one of the right solutions is to get out of the environment. Avoid your friends who love to gamble so that you are not affected and say no to the invitation to gamble.
Look for positive new activities. Look for new activities that are interesting to you, so that your time is not spent thinking about gambling. For example, you can apply your hobby, such as fishing, jogging, or even exercising.
Ask for professional help. If you are still having trouble stopping gambling, you can seek professional help to stop this bad habit. Some professional solutions suggested include psychotherapy or prescription drugs that can help calm your desire to gamble.
Don't play because you're addicted, staker! , but because they want to have fun with "Gery" at stake.com.
