Stefanos Tsitsipas - Benoit Paire prediction

Featured Comment

Stefanos Tsitsipas won the last match against Jordan Thompson with 2-0 and it took him 22 games in order to win. Tsitsipas won 85 percent of his first serve points and 69 percent of his second serve points. Overall he won 78% of his servuce points and managed to get one break from the 7 chances that he had. In that victory Stefano hit 4 aces and he saved all 4 break points that he offered to his opponent. Tsitsipas won both of his matches at this tournament in straight sets and he only offered one break to his opponents. He will be looking tonight oe in 3 straight matches for the first time after French Open. Stefano likes playing on hard court as he won 4 out of his last 5 matches played on hard court.

Benoit Paire won the last match he played at this tournament against John Isner in straight sets and it only took him 22 games to win it. Paire won 91 percent of his first serve points and 57 percent of his second serve points. Overall he won 73% of his service points and managed to break John once from the 3 chances that he got. Paire hit 13 aces in that victory and offered his opponent only 1 break points that he also saved. Paire has lost one set at this tournament but his opponents were able to get 6 breaks from his serve. During his last 5 tournaments he managed to win at least 3 matches in 2 of them. Paire is struggling a little on hard court as he lost 4 out of his last 6 matches played on this surface.

Paire seems to be playing some of his best tennis right now, if we are looking at the results he's getting in tournaments but he had some big problems with his serve at this tournament. It's true that he only offered one break points in the last match but Isner is well knows as a player that gets things done using his service most of the time and doesn't care that much about breaks. But in the first match he played at this tournament he was broken 6 times in one single match against a less inferior opponent that's ranked 172 in the world. Paire is barely getting 50% of his first service in and you can't beat a player like Tsitsipas with that. He also has 17 double faults in his last 2 matches, which is terrible. We can say he might have gotten lucky in the last 2 matches but good players like Tsitsipas will know how to get the job done a d that advantage of those mistakes.

My tip for this match is Tsitsipas to win.
