Casino for Children

Featured Comment

Why aren't children (say 12-16yrs) allowed to gamble? They already spending up to 16hrs a weak gaming. Gambling is amazing for teaching mathematics, and
learning about how to manage money.
Another clear advantage is that potential addiction issues can be identified early and dealt with effectively through education, rather than later in life when people become idiots.

If my own school had ran a casino I know for sure my mathematics would have been so much better.  Maybe I'm missing something can anyone give me a rational reason as to why children should not be allowed to learn about this. Does gambling stunt your growth or something similar?

Whats the difference between gambling and kids pouring money into candy crush or other games?

UPDATE: ok I just realised why children shouldnt gamble:

Lol the idea made me laugh!!

Well first point is casino maybe don't want to sued by parents that don't want their child to lose their money..

And talking about money ... How can a child get money.. I mean all about casino is winning.. And losing money but if you're too young to earn money there's really no point to play on a casino.

And last point I have 3 kids and I try to keep them away the most I can from video games and tv not to talk smartphones.. I mean they will probably spend a lot of times on screens when they will be a little older, but let in them play on an online casino would just make them more addict to screen and gaming.. And I don't see the need to do so... And if you are despair to make your kids work on their school duties at a point where letting them play casino seems a good idea I don't say you have a real problem.

Last thing is when I read it seems to me you don't have kids? Nothing wrong in that but maybe you would be more concern in what is good or not good to do regarding kids when you will have some...

But I admit your idea made me really laugh...

anything that people enjoy doing can be addictive

Well people enjoy heroin, but it's surely not a reason to let them use it freely isn't it? In the same way people enjoy sugar.. We let industries out sugar everywhere and now most countries has Concern with overweight and all the disease that come with... Letting an addiction grow without restrictuon is all but a good idea

Children should not gamble because they are not aware of their actions. They can follow the criminal path in order to get money for the game and so on. It is not for nothing that in all countries there is a restriction on age. Rules and age restrictions are created based on past experience.

for kids anything which makes them addictive is prohibbted, because it grows stubborness in nature, the age of 10 to 18 is fast growing age for kids, physically and mentaly both, it can damage the tissues if they are spending too much time infront of these eletronic devices, also it makes them lazzy enough, and there can be dozens of more reasons.

Teenagers do need their tissues undamaged, I remember going through several boxes in a week at that age.

#1 Most don't make their own money yet which makes it difficult to retain such a player and #2 As most others have said gambling can easily turn into addiction due to the way humans are wired and the mechanics of how gambling works. Gambling isn't a positive thing, regardless of what you may tell yourself. It's a socially acceptable vice that we use to usually fill up something else we are missing in life.

The mere thought of a gambling for children is absolutely ludicrous I mean if you really think about it kids don't know what's good for then and gambling is specifically designed to induce a state of fogginess and addiction it would be incredibly irresponsible to allow a child to gamble especially because when you're young you build your habits and you can cease and if those tendencies are to gamble they will probably never stopped in their life

This would be a great plot for a dystopian world flick whereby children are taught to gamble as a substitution for what used to be “Math”.

While we’re at it, let’s have some of them be involved in drugs/prostitution or (insert random vice), and have them murder each other during a festival similar to “The Plague” once a year. 😎

I do not recommend introducing children to gambling and I'm glad that gambling for children is not allowed. Sure you can learn some skills in gambling, but children can learn the same skills on non-gambling games. No need to introduce them to gambling since it's addictive and will NOT teach them how to manage their money. Gambling is the worst thing when it comes to money management.

  • 5 months later...

I think that children might not know the value of money, like adults have to work hard to earn money. It is kind of easy to spend money when you don't know the effort behind it. Like there are many games on iPad, like candy crush were children spent lot of money on it, sometimes accidentelly and the poor parents have to pay for it.
