ZERO: is it EVEN?

Featured Comment

There has been discussions on Chat whether the Number Zero is an Even Number..

Some says it EVEN

Others say not EVEN nor ODD

Also, others have their opinions:

Zero is an imaginary number..etc! Etc!😍

So, is number Zero an EVEN number?

On my personnal learnings and knowledge

Numbers ending in 0 2 4 6 8 are EVEN

Numbers ending in 1 3 5 7 9 are ODD

But for me 0 is a number, a 1 digit number which ends with 0 so i think it EVEN.

Same with number 2..it is EVEN since it ends with 2..

Glad to here your opinions..

(Especially Stake Officials, so we could clear issues which arised during challenges which includes ODD/EVEN numbers in it)

Hope @Dusan @Nenad and others can share their opinion!

Good Luck Stakers😍

More Power to Stake!

Zero can be Two things:

Nothing & Even.

If it appears as the first digit(s) in any number sequence it is nothing, zilch, nada etc. and discounted from any calculations,

If Zero appears 2nd or last in a sequence it is even, as in; 10, 20, 100, 120.

If Zero Appears as last number or 2nd last number after a decimal point, it will always be even unless the amount of decimal places are mentioned. Then the above should apply

If Zero appears alone?

Hey there @Raikage :)

Zero should be Even number, but yes, there are different opinions. So because of that, we will not accept 0 for telegram challenge when is asked for EVEN or ODD. For ODD we will accept 1,3,5,7 and etc and for EVEN we will accept 2,4,6,8 and etc. Also this will be indicated on telegram games where is asked for odd or even. Problem solved. :)

Best regards. Nenad. :D

Are you saying that 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, etc  are Not accepted on Telegram Games.

Sorry Nenad, but your answer doesn't seem to be problem solved to me without you defining whether or not these numbers are accepted ??

An even number is divisible by two.  "Opinions" shouldn't matter.
0 by itself is NOT an even number, as it is not divisible by 2.
But a number beginning in 34 billion, that ENDS in 0, is indeed an even number.

When they're doing "must end in an even number" contests.  They're only looking at the last digit, not the entire bet number as a whole.  So in that instance, 0 is not considered even.

There are various answers for this topic 😅

It is also said that, if a number can be divided by 2 to create a whole number then it is an even number.

Zero when divided by 2 gives zero which is a whole number.

So u say its EVEN?

All articles i saw says Zero is EVEN..

Anyone has different?

Except no.  Zero is divisible by any number and will equal zero, and any number divided by zero - you can not divide by zero.  Go ahead and try it on a calculator.  Windows calculator is best because it literally says "you cannot divide by zero"

As quoted by the BBC:

"(people)  find it particularly difficult to recognise if zero is odd or even"... "For mathematicians the answer is easy: zero is an even number."

"In fact, there is an argument that zero is the most even number of all. A number which is "doubly even" can be divided by two and then divided by two again. Zero can be divided by two forever and the result will always be a whole number - zero."

So yes, zero is an even number. I know that people find it difficult to understand this though, and for those that don't study mathematics the concept of even being an even or odd number might be confusing.

Zero IS an EVEN number.

Here's why: any number ending in 2, 4, 6, 8, 0 is considered an even number, so that would make 0 an even number, since if 20 didn't count as an even number 0 would not be even on it's own.

Big mindfuck, I know.

If you accept 5 numbers for odd (1,3,5,7,9) for odd, seems silly to exclude an even number making it only 4.
