Story of a gambler named Akio Kashiwagi

Featured Comment

I was checking some gambling stories, and this one just caught my attention. I don’t know if you already heard this one.

Akio Kashiwagi, was real estate tycoon from the country Japan. He got himself a nickname which is “The Warrior”  because he bets $200k on a single hand of baccarat, and in tose times it was among played by  popular high rollers, in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and Monte Carlo.

Then in 1990 Kashiwagi also played at one of Donald Trump's three casinos and  have won a massive amount of $6m for 2 nights. But Donald made a deal with Kashiwagi to comeback to doubled it or lost it all. After $10m in losses, he called it quits and came back to his country while still owing Trump.

Kashiwagi debts total amount of $15m in gambling for different casino owners, in that matter it was said that maybe it was one of the reason that on January 3, 1992, Kashiwagi was killed. He was stabbed 150 times with a samurai sword. and sadly the killer has never been found.

Such interesting, but sad story :(

Speaking about Donald Trump, I don't think he needs to extract that money as he still possesses lots of holdings. But, if I'm not mistaking, he's no longer a CEO of Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts (now Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts holdings), but only a member of Board Directors.

That's why we should always be in think of how much finances we have and how much we could bet. This is a sad story but also it's a lesson learned for him and he won't do it again in the future.

damn.. 6 million dollars in two nights.. i can only dream of even making 1 million dollars in a life time, let alone 6 millions! But for me, making millions really isnt my priorty in life, ofcourse having or making that much money would make life easier for any individual, but could also backfire and bring all sorts of unwanted attention to yourself.. plus, life shouldnt be about who makes more money, in my opinion, life should be about learning and better ourselves so that one day, we could elevate the human race to a higher vibration since we have been distracted from that and has been stuck in the same vibrations for a very long time!... xD

I think, in our days — the time of technological progress, Internet and blockchain — more and more people tend to switch to online casinos 'cause they are: — available 24/7 at home, just turn on your PC or laptop and play; — free of strangers and background noise — just you and your game; — providing much more options and games to choose from. For example, well-known game provider and supplier of many online casinos, Microgaming has both contemporary and retro games in its portfolio. You can see a review of such games like Retro Reels, Tunzamunni, and Break Da Bank in this piece of information from  16BITDAD http://www.16bitdad.com/the-10-best-retro-microgaming-casino-games/. So, it’s not a problem to find any game you want to play.

its the guys own stupid mistake. I am making good money myself in the crypto industry and gambling scene but I rather stay below the radar. Even my own family except for my wife doesn't know in which strong financial situation we are in. I can do whatever I want but I just lead a regular life and keep running multiple businesses just to keep busy. For me the age of 35 is to early to retire and do nothing every single day.

But I will never brag personally and I will never share my details online cause there will always be persons online as well as offline that want to take disadvantage of you as soo as they know. And sometimes like the person in the article leads to getting in touch with very bad people that aren't only after your money but also your life

What a sad story, why every gambler who wins a lot in the casino will always be forced to continue playing, shouldn't the gambler be free to leave when the big win?
many stories that I know about casinos, it is very difficult for us to bring home big winnings from the casino

That's really interesting story a lesson learn for every gambler :) to avoid this kind of situation, self control is really needed. It doesn't mean you keep winning at first you still can be a winner in the end. Just dont play thru loan money
